Multi-factor authentication (MFA) mandatory since 2025
Logging into FirstSpirit is only possible with active multi-factor authentication (MFA). You must authenticate yourself each time you log in outside the ZUV network in order to log into FirstSpirit.
MFA setup is described in the LMU Serviceportal (access-protected).

When logging in for the first time, you may need to complete an email verification so that your LMU ID can be linked to your FirstSpirit ID and you can gain full access to your website(s). You may then be redirected back to the FirstSpirit login page and see the following dialog (please note that the design or text of the message may have changed since then).
Depending on how you log in to FirstSpirit for the first time, this step may not be necessary, or the system may not actively prompt you to send yourself a verification email. In any case, check your inbox!
Even if no message appeared in the last step or you did not send yourself an email via a link, please switch now to the email account associated with your LMU ID. If you received a verification email, please open it. The email will once again list your LMU ID.
After that, or if you have not received an email, you will return to the regular LMU login process and authenticate yourself using multi-factor authentication. If you encounter any issues with MFA, please contact the IT Service Desk.
You will now be redirected to the FirstSpirit homepage and will be logged in to the system.
Usually, you will be granted editing rights automatically when a new website is created. If you joined the editorial team at a later date, your project administrator or site coordinator will manage the assignment of editing rights.
If necessary, request editing rights using this form.
First, reset the login screen by clicking the Crownpeak logo in the upper-left corner. If an additional button for "Log in with LMU User Account" or "Automatic Login" does not appear afterward, you do not yet have rights within FirstSpirit.
In this case, please submit a support request to Department VI.5 Internet Services.
Click the link in the text again to request the verification email. The email will be sent to the email address associated with your LMU ID. If necessary, check which email address that is and check that inbox. If you can't find the email in this inbox, check your spam folder.
Tip: You can see which email address is associated with your LMU ID in your Benutzerkonto.
You can only access websites in FirstSpirit if your LMU ID is linked to your FirstSpirit ID. Check whether you have completed the email verification process.
Check to make sure you’ve logged in to the correct system. If necessary, open a new private window in your browser and navigate to the FirstSpirit Login page.
You may not have been granted access rights to FirstSpirit yet. In this case, use the support request form to contact Department VI.5 Internet Services.
